David Finnigan was born in Fulford Nr York in 1964 and studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art , gaining a BA (Hons) degree there in 1988.

"Initially my work was influenced by the energy and dynamism of the early 20th century art movements of Futurism and Vorticism.
I eventually moved towards a more direct realist style , and yet I still like to think my work exhibits some subtle aspects of the implied movement and dynamism of my earlier work."

He is now solely represented by the London gallery - Plus One .
Since forming this relationship his work is now held in private and corporate collections nationally and internationally.
